Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Projects

 

Santa Maria CNG Fueling and Shop Upgrades

Santa Maria, CA

Santa Maria Energy StationET provided design, planning, permitting and construction services for the installation of a new public CNG retail station and private time-fill fueling system that included 20 refuse truck refueling stalls. The project also included code compliant CNG vehicle repair facility upgrades to an existing 5,800-sf maintenance garage with four service bays.

Wheeling CNG Fueling Facility

Wheeling, IL

ET Energy provided complete design/build services for the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling facility in Wheeling, IL. From permitting to client turnover, ET successfully managed the construction of the new 40 slow-fill fueling post island and retail fueling station specifically furnished to accommodate the clients needs.
The project was completed in close coordination with the client’s on site management team as all construction work was phased to minimized disturbance to ongoing operations.

West Seneca CNG Fueling Facility

West Seneca, NY

ET provided complete design/build services for the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling facility in West Seneca, NY, inclusive of the installation of gas detection systems, a modified heating system, and safety upgrade requirements for an 11,200-square foot maintenance facility. From permitting to client turnover, ET successfully managed the new 40 slow-fill fueling post island and retail fueling station achieving substantial completion within the contract schedule. The project was completed in close coordination with the client’s on site management team as all construction work was phased to minimized disturbance to ongoing operations.

Blaine CNG Fueling Facility

Blaine, MN

ET provided installation of a new CNG public and internal fleet fueling system to include 2/250HP gas compression units, a dryer, priority panel, three pack storage bottles, new 1,000-amp electrical service, gas utility connection, and code required upgrades to the maintenance facility to allow vehicle maintenance. This includes upgrades to the heating system, a new gas detection system, and modification to the air transfer system. The project also includes a new backup generator to power the required gas detection system and lighting the maintenance shop in the event of a power failure.
The project was completed in close coordination with the client’s on-site management team as all the construction work was phased to minimized the disturbance to ongoing operations.

Venice CNG Fueling Facility

Venice, FL

ET provided complete design/build services for the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fueling facility and maintenance shop upgrades in Venice, FL, inclusive of the installation of gas detection systems, a modified heating system, and safety upgrade requirements on 6,656 square foot maintenance facility. From permitting to client turnover, ET successfully managed the new 26 slow-fill fueling post island and retail fueling station achieving substantial completion within the contract schedule. The project was complete in close coordination with the client’s on-site management team as all construction work was phase to minimize disturbance to ongoing operations.

Auburn CNG Fueling Facility

Auburn, WA

ET provided design, planning, permitting and construction services for the installation of a new CNG refueling system to support the fueling of a new CNG refuse truck fleet. The project included new natural gas and electrical utilities, CNG compressor equipment, plant equipped with 55 CNG time fill dispensers, one for each truck. The project also included CNG safe building upgrades to a 8,000-square foot refuse truck maintenance shop.

 

Compressed Natural Gas Fueling System Expansion

Santa Ana, CA

ET provided design and construction service to expand an existing Compressed Natural Gas Fueling System at an existing solid waste hauling facility to accommodate refueling of 43 new collection vehicles. Additionally, ET provided design and construction services for the installation of a new public self serve compressed natural gas fuel station to accommodate CNG refueling of private and public vehicles.

 

 

South Seattle CNG Fueling Facility

Seattle, WA

ET provided design and construction services for this fleet maintenance and operations facility conversion to CNG fueling for the truck fleet. Work included a CNG plant, with slow and fast fueling capacities and fleet parking for 120 trucks.

 

 

 

West Jordan CNG Fueling Facility

West Jordan, Utah

ET provided design, planning, permitting, and construction service for the installation of a new CNG refueling system to support the fueling of a new CNG refuse truck fleet. The project included new natural gas & electrical utilities, CNG compressor equipment plant equipped with 38 CNG time fill dispensers, one for each truck. The project also includes the installation of a self-serve CNG refueling station with 2 retail dispensers for refueling of public CNG vehicles, and CNG safe building upgrades to a 25,000-square foot refuse truck maintenance shop.

 

High BTU Gas Projects

 

Winder Oak Grove High BTU Gas Facility

Winder, GA

ET Environmental provided general contracting and design/build services for the construction of a landfill gas beneficial use project at the Oak Grove Landfill in Winder, Georgia. The project is designed for processing capacity of 4,000 SCFM of landfill gas with a target gas quality of 955 BTU, which is delivered in the natural gas pipeline of the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia supplying the cities of Winder and Buford. That gas distribution system will supply approximately 13,000 homes with natural gas for heating and cooling.

ET’s role included the construction of the site work, equipment and building foundations, utilities, 5,100-square foot building, equipment rigging and setting, process mechanical piping and process electrical systems. The process equipment installed included three 600-Hp and one 400-Hp compressors, refrigeration skid, membrane treatment skid, landfill gas blower skid, aftercoolers, thermal oxidizer, motor control center and operations office. The process has the capability to remotely monitor and control the entire system operation. The facility was completed and demonstrated the operational capability to produce pipeline quality gas in December 2008.

 

Landfill Gas (LFG) Projects

 

Edmonton LFG

Edmonton, Alberta

ET provided design/build services for a 19-well landfill gas expansion project in Edmonton, Alberta. The project included tying into the old LFG piping, drilling and installing 19 LFG wells, 12” and 18” pipe header installation, condensate piping, and the installation of a new flare assembly.

 

Charleston LFG Facility

Charleston, WV

ET provided design/build services for an LFG gas collection, control system, and electrical generation plant located at the City of Charleston landfill. This landfill gas to energy project utilizes approximately 1,000 SCFM (initially 600 SCFM) of available landfill gas supply to feed Jenbacher gensets, for a maximum combined output of 3.5 MW. As a backup to generators, the project included installation of an enclosed LFG flare. The 1060-kilowatt engines were enclosed in a preengineered metal building approximately 40 feet by 50 feet. Gas conditioning skids and flares were located outside the building.
